What is Sapiens Innovative School?
Sapiens is an international, innovative community school in Warsaw for students aged 12–17. We combine British (IGCSE/A-Level) and Polish curricula, focus on project-based learning, and support students in discovering their passions and paths in life.
Who is Sapiens for?
Our school is ideal for curious, creative, and independent teenagers who want more than traditional schooling. We welcome both local and international students seeking a flexible, modern approach to education.

• No grades in daily learning (we focus on feedback and progress)
• Flexible scheduling and individual learning paths
• Mentorship and personal development as core elements
What curriculum do you follow?

Will my child feel included as an international student?
Absolutely. Sapiens is built as an international, inclusive community where all cultures, backgrounds, and voices are valued. We actively foster a welcoming environment where no one feels like a minority—every student is a co-creator of our shared culture.
What languages are spoken at school?
Our main teaching language is English. Our core communication languages are English, Polish, Ukrainian. We also offer support for other languages (such as Spanish, and German) and help students develop confidence in English regardless of their starting point.
Is English proficiency required to join?
Yes, a certain level of English proficiency is important for meaningful participation in our learning environment. For students in junior years, we recommend a minimum of A2-B1 level. For high school students, a starting level of B1-B2 is expected to keep up with academic content.
We offer language support courses and tutoring to help students strengthen their skills and feel more confident in both academic and social contexts. Every learner’s progress is respected and supported.
How does the school help new international students adapt?
New students are guided through an onboarding process with dedicated tutors, peer among students. Our community is warm, curious, and open—we’re all learners together.
How do you celebrate cultural diversity?
We host multicultural days, student-led projects, and international events where traditions, languages, and stories are shared. Diversity is not just accepted here—it’s celebrated.
Do you give homework?
No traditional homework. Instead, students work on long-term interdisciplinary projects, prepare for exams during dedicated school hours, and engage in meaningful learning that connects to real life.
Do you prepare students for university?
Yes. We support students aiming for both Polish and international universities, including through subject specialization, portfolio development, career mentoring, and academic counseling.
How are students assessed?
Assessment is holistic and competency-based. We use a combination of feedback, self-reflection, portfolio evaluation, and formal exam preparation for IGCSE/A-Level students.
What is the class size?
We maintain small groups (typically 6–12 students per subject group) to ensure individual attention and high engagement.
Is Sapiens a licensed school in Poland?
Yes, we are in the process of licensing and align with required Polish educational standards while maintaining our innovative model.
Do you offer scholarships or discounts?
We occasionally offer sibling discounts and annual payment. Please contact us directly for current options.
Are there any requirements for student recruitment?
Yes. We aim to create a balanced and motivated learning community, so the recruitment process includes:
• A short application form and interview with the student
• Participation in a trial week, where the student experiences our learning environment
• A parent meeting to align on expectations and values
• For older students (14+), a conversation about learning goals and previous academic background
• We do not require entrance exams, but we assess motivation, readiness for independent learning, and English proficiency at B1 level at least.
